crafty tuesday

Two weeks ago a few friends got together and over an hour we drank coffee and taught ourselves how to marble paper.  It was great seeing all the different effects with colour.  How red impacts quickly so its best to use last and white is heavier so you only need a little.  With skewer in hand we mixed and swirled the alum and "soak" together and heh presto our stunning writing paper.  We have rolled a few sheets and decorated with beautiful earthy feathers and twine.

One of my friends has done some terrific black and white marbled paper and framed them with Ikea frames and they look stunning up on her walls so I have alittle bit of framing to do myself in the next few weeks.  When I have framed some I will post a few photos so you can see those too.
