coming out of winter
Coming out of winter... alleluia! In some ways I feel like am coming out of chrysalis. So much inner growth has been occurring which I do love at the end ...but it can be so painful . Spiritual growth is not about religion , or our morals, ethics, or really anything of tangible nature. For me its delving and shinning light to enlighten ourselves to our purpose. Not a career, or what we are going to do , but how we are going to be. To slow our moments down in our lives so we can really hear people, we can put judgement aside, that even though daily tasks are fast that in this our mind is still and clear and purposeful. To be creative in our lives and to see the beauty in the simple things. To teach our children value of nature, of acts of kindness, of inner strength, to teach them to calm their own minds and nurture their bodies through seeing the adults around them doing the same. Or can it be said, that our children teach us to focus on the sand and the footprints, the trees or how beautiful a little bush can be under the snow that it looks like a sea anemone. I am really taking on spring as a season to slow down, take notice and to savor the spirit.
